I'd contacted around twenty potential tradesmen by either phone or email over a period of three weeks to little avail – I had just three responses (the first was ridiculously expensive, the second was not prepared to help with sourcing any additional materials and the third came out to quote but never bothered to get back to me wasting both my time and his) – and so decided to try My Builder. Mel came out as promised and was the only one to point out something that I hadn't even considered (and which the other tradesmen should have done). This influenced my decision to give him the job and I'm pleased to say it was successful. Mel is courteous, friendly and professional and will be doing some further work for me in the future. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

Mel is a nice and helpful guy. We invited him to fix additional kitchen wall unit and couple of decorating jobs. He was prompt and did exactly what we wanted. I would recommend him to friends and hire him again.

We arranged to meet with Mel to quote for job. He was very prompt and professional. He carried out various decorating jobs. We were really pleased with his work. Very clean and tidy after he finished. Definitely be using him again.

Mel is a very good tiler. Cleaned up all the waste from old tiles etc. 100% trustworthy left alone all day whilst I was at work. Will be recommending Mel to friends and family. Thanks!

Mel painted the entire house (inside and outside): 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, large kitchen and 2 reception rooms - including all paintwork, walls and ceilings - exterior: windows, exterior paintwork, french doors, back door, front door and doorstep. He undertook this single handedly over the course of several months completing just before Christmas (2015). The house looks amazing and we could not be happier. Mel's approach is calm and professional - he works to time and budget and was happy to take on some extra painting in the house not originally planned. Communication was excellent - he is reliable and tidy and left the house looking immaculate. It was a very large project to undertake. We would not hesitate to recommend Mel extremely highly for any painting/decorating work at all and would certainly approach him again if more work were required.
