Kevin Greenlees gave an estimate from the details I'd provided at the start, before he saw the job, as he was some distance from us. After exchanging further emails and talking to him he gave me precise details of what he proposed, turned up promptly, on time, with everything necessary including a selection of cowls. He advised about the pot that needed a different style to be compliant with gas and did the job as advertised. He restored the pantiles to their rightful position, working with good humour on a pretty cold day. He found a further problem, a massive hole at the top of one chimney stack that didn't have a pot on it, so there was nothing to be seen from the ground to suggest it was there. It explained our annual problem of jackdaws in the chimney. Kevin came back the following day with all the additional equipment to resolve it. We considered his price very reasonable. He was really helpful, pleasant, reliable and the job has been completed most efficiently. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend him or use him again.Thank you for your MyBuilder site. We needed a redundant flue opened up to allow air circulation (as staining was coming through the walls). Kevin fitted an air vent in the bedroom and added a suitable pot on the chimney - allowing air to circulate and the old damp flue to cure and dry. Kevin is a gentleman and we have used him for other jobs - highly recommend his work.
