Gavin built two custom 'bookcase' style units in the alcoves either side of our chimney breast. However, the job wasn't as straightforward as it sounds - the units are home to about 3,000 vinyl records my DJ turntables, CD decks and mixer and the TV and DVD player whilst still looking amazingly elegant in our late-victorian period home! Gavin was incredibly proactive and creative whilst sticking to the brief and communicating at every step of the way - Gavin isn't a craftsman who will go: "bosh, there you go", he cares about the project and won't stop until the customer is satisfied. It can be a bit nerve-wracking looking for a craftsman to come into your home and do a good job. If you are searching for a carpenter who you can trust then Gavin's your man. We were so happy with Gavin's work and the way we worked together that we asked him to undertake an additional project after he had finished our unique bookcase. We would definitely hire Gavin again and are recommending him to all our friends - he's a gem.

Excellent! Very happy with the work, and although it took slightly longer than originally thought (due to the type of door, not due to workrate) Gavin only charged the quoted price. Would certainly use again

Gavin did an excellent job for us fitting doors and repairing the front of a fireplace. He also offered helpful advice when coming round initially to give a quote. The work was finished on time and to a high standard. We would have no hesitation in recommending him.

Excellent work at a better rate than quoted by any other carpenter. Friendly and efficient and completed work in time. Will definitely use again in the future.

Gavin was excellent. I would highly recommend him and would definitely use him again. I was a little vague about what I wanted in terms of a built-in wardrobe in the bedroom and shelving/cupboard in the living room and he was able to give me useful and practical suggestions with an eye to keeping it as cost-effective as possible. Gavin was very punctual and I was happy to leave him to get on with the job whilst I went to work. He works to a very high standard and I was very pleased with the results.
