    Home improvement
Phil has done a brilliant job on my house. I've had a wall knocked down a new one put up, 2 doors blocked up and a new one made. I would highly recommend him for any building work, very curtious and work done to a high standard

    Create New window opening
Having now had a professional in to do some other work , Eccleston construction gave cost me over £1000 to have their shoddy workmanship rectified. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY unless you want your house to fall down. 1 star is too good a review for them.

    Answer from tradesperson:

I am very surprised at the now negative review, considering the 5 star review previously. We used calibrated steel flatbar as your lintels, that where designed for your size opening. If you would of contacted us with any form of grievance we would of instantly arranged to visit you and corrected any issues that you may of had without any problems, but we was not remotely contacted. Our apologies that you felt the need to go about it this way.

Erect second hand conservatory including foundation and dwarf wall
I am very pleased with Eccleson Construction. Phil was very professional and hard working. He answered questions and was willing to make adjustments as needed. The job was completed in a timely manner and the price was reasonable. Phil and Jamie always tidied up before leaving. Great job. I would highly recommend this company and would surely use them again.

Remove wall between kitchen and dining room
Very good throughout the process and provided good advice and information. Phill was very polite and reliable and arrived each day when he said he would. The work area was left clean and tidy every day and the job was competed in a timely manner.

New doorway to rear and ceiling lowering
I hired Eccleson Construction to do a reconstruction of my kitchen. They show lack of professionalism by agreeing a start date, then postponing the job for a whole week which affected the other contractors and delivery of the new kitchen even though they had been paid half the agreed fee upfront. Once they did start the workmanship was poor and on the second day I tried to have a conversation about it. After agreeing a course of action I was told that they were going to pick up some more materials. While I was out of the house they left the job leaving all the rubble and rubbish in my front and back yard. I now have to employ another builder to put right what eccleson construction has done wrong and then have the job finished. They also have not refund the money that they were paid upfront and have left me and my disabled and blind mother without a kitchen as it has been ripped out and in living chaos. Eccleson Construction actions have proved them to be immoral on many levels

    Answer from tradesperson:

Unfortunately this is one project that was impossible to finish. The customer at first seemed fine to deal with. It is true, I did have to postpone the job for 5 days, this was due to a sudden passing in the family, which Mr Mendez seemed to be sympathetic (obviously not). I requested half the money upfront (as always) this was to provide materials, labour and all other expenses. The work we carried out more than covered this cost. I took zero wages from this project. Mr Mendez constantly changed the job daily, even had us brick up the back door when we needed access to the back yard. He then asked me when the whole kitchen would be plastered? Although not in the quotation, he proceeded to tell me the other builders quotation included full kitchen plastering (see attached other builders quote) so not true. He then proceeded to YouTube and Google the jobs we were doing. Then sending me video links, he the insulted my father whilst he was working. I've 100% reviews . Total false review.

New window and Brickhill in back lounge
Phil did an excellent job in removing a set of full height French Windows, bricking up and fitting a new and smaller window. Inside the area below the window was sealed and insulated, plaster boarded and skimmed and finished with a new window cill and skirting. A clean and tidy job.
