I’ve spent the last 8 years working hands-on across engineering, construction and property maintenance. I started out in brickwork, working on everything from garden walls and steps to extensions and new builds, before completing an apprenticeship in mechanical and electrical maintenance engineering. I now work in a large steel manufacturing environment where if something breaks, needs repairing or needs building, chances are I’ve had my hands on it!
