I did my due diligence on Vullcan, but things went downhill. After a week i got a pre-tax invoice for £3000 for a more "complex" drainage system which was already completed, this was the start of them trying to get around contract items and look for every way possible to charge extra fees which i can’t go through in the word limit here. When that dint work they refused to do the work. e.g. they literally installed a tempered glass sheet, with liquid glue on my roof and stated to me that this was a "roof window". I had to show them buildings regulations that this was unacceptable and illegal especially when our contract said it has to be a VELUX ROOF WINDOW! Promised a 6-8 week completion, this is 9 months later. I had now paid about 90% of the original bill and 100% of additional costs. The final payment was due after completion and a 2 week snagging period. But the demand for payments started, with threats to sue. This was laughable as they hadn't completed the job. •The roof was leaking •Electrical issues with the fuse box and multiple light /electrical points •Outstanding items •The buildings controls company stated they would not be able to sign off on the building work because of outstanding issues, which I wouldn’t have even known as they lied stating they HAD the certificate. I agreed to send a FULL payment to an escrow company and pay HALF of the costs so they can complete and fix safety issues but they refused! Shameful experience.

Rafael did quite a few things when we bought our house before we moved in. He sanded the wooden floors and varnished them, painted one of room, fitted brackets for a wall mounted TV and other odd jobs, repairing some cupboards, changing some windows and various other things. He discovered the wooden structure of our terrace was rotten and we ended up asking Rafael to repair it and change the slats. He did a great job and we now have a nice wooden terrace we love. Communication was quite easy by text and email, Rafael is thorough and pays attention to details. He did a good job for all things we asked for. We will certainly work with him again if we need things done in the house.

I hired Eusebio to build stud walls and complete the drylining for my log cabin, and boy am I glad I found him! Right from the initial site visit, he was exceptionally thorough assessing the project in detail and calculating a precise list of materials for me to buy so nothing was wasted. Working on a timber cabin that was neither straight nor level brought plenty of unexpected challenges, but Eusebio didn't miss a beat. Every time an issue came up with the uneven structure, he proactively offered practical, clever solutions to ensure everything ended up completely straight, plumb, and solid. He turned up fully equipped with all his own professional tools, kept the site clean, and communicated brilliantly throughout. His work on the frame and boards was so good that I’m having him stay on to finish the whole job—including the tape and jointing, fitting the skirting, and laying the laminate flooring. Jerry came on time with all his tools and equipment. We had loads of boxes around as we just moved houses but he just got on with what he came to do which is assembling furniture. We had a sliding wardrobe, large chest of drawers, a dining table, a book shelf and a rocking chair to assemble. He did all very well and even stayed to get everything completed in one day. There were broken parts but he managed to build the furnitures without having to use the broken parts. Amazing. He even cleans the room after he has finished his work and clear the boxes. We would strongly recommend him! Thank you Jerry for yesterday! We will surely hire you again.
