James was prompt with our agreed appointment to assess the work needed. The pricing process did not reflect his hourly rate quoted.but it was taken as mainly acceptable. He turned up on the agreed date but failed to complete the work as agreed. He had agreed to fit a working loft ladder and make a loft hatch door. However, I was left with a piece of mdf slotted inside the void exposing the messy exterior and a ladder that he said would not work due to restricted space but I could use to climb up.! He should have realised the problem at the onset and not committed me financially. So £60 for a ladder identical to one I already have and £20 for a painted piece of mdf He did complete some other minor jobs as agreed and I paid in full before checking the work. I was testing his services before using for more major work but will definitely not be using again.
