It was a time when our local councils took great pride in maintaining all those beautiful green spaces we sometimes took for granted – parks, roadside verges, and community gardens. I have been doing tiling and general house refurbishment for the last 17 years. I learnt the trade while working for a company in Spain, then after a few years went self employed. I worked in Spain for 12 years and have now been working in the UK for the last 13 years doing the same thing. I am what was traditionally known as a Handyman. I try and cover all basic home and garden maintenance needs. Decorating, basic gardening, basic (non gas) plumbing, guttering, timberwork repairs, and the like. I have been working professionally at this since January 2014. I have like many carried out DIY jobs for myself and others for many years and for 18 years was a Senior Highway Technician for the local authority.
