Great question, consumers are inundated with emails and offers whether they are about cost savings measures or sales, etc. It all becomes a blur and more challenging. If you’re introducing yourself to a potential client in person, do a little research on who they are and what they do. When you introduce yourself tell them how you were intrigued or interested in how they executed XYZ. When they finish telling you about the process , then advise what you do and how it is related and how you can help. Make the connection and show how what you know and can offer will in fact benefit them. Try not to make it like a sales pitch. Be casual about it

Hi there, my name is Joeri. During the last 20 years, I have been involved in a big variety of carpentry jobs, some simple but others that need a good portion of creativity. In some of the pictures, you see that I have built 2 lounge bars from scratch. Creativity is the main goal of my work, of course, I fit doors, windows, assemble flatpacks, repair doors, restore old furniture and all sorts of handyman jobs. Fitting mainly make to measure wardrobes and bedrooms.
