I wanted a small section concrete base in the garden for a mini office shed. I hired Leigh (Elite Property Maintenance) based on the review given on mybuilder.com. Leigh and his co-worker arrived early at 8am and completed the work at noon. Although I was not at home, but I had a live camera to monitor the progress from my workplace. Cons 1: Leigh said he had built a 6 inch thick concrete and put bags load of turf from the excavation into his van. When I came home, I found a significant amount of turf spread onto another part of my garden where I was growing vegetables using premium soil. I wish there was some communication from him before he took such action. Cons 2: I used a structural engineer to inspect the amount and quality of concrete laid using ultrasound technique to certify that it is capable of supporting the shed loading. To my disappointment, the thickness in some parts were much less than 6 inches. The excavation was insufficient and in some parts were well under 6 inches deep. Therefore the structural engineer confirmed that the concrete will fail to support the shed load in some section. I am disappointed in their lack of professionalism. Cons 3: The concrete surface lacked a good quality finish. There were chips on the surface. Pros 1: Leigh was able to provide a quote very quickly and was able to start the job within 2 days. Pros 2: Arriving early and good manner.

The team was excellent, from booking to completion. We had a water main replaced as an urgent job and the team attended within 14 hours of booking. They worked efficiently and carefully and explained what was happening as they went along. Job done within a day and everything was all put back where it should be, so you couldn’t even tell they were there. Would absolutely recommend.
