A good job was done. It was not a standard job but a modification to enable the drainage of rain water. He worked very hard and was a nice guy. Despite his health problem I can’t fault his effort and the result was good.

Pete first came to do a couple of simple building jobs (adding a loft hatch and levelling a crooked wooden floor) and did such a good job that I ended up using him to completely renovate my entire property, and for many additional projects since. His work is excellent - he's punctual and reliable, trustworthy, and very fairly priced. Quotes are accurate, and he's very fair if and when costs or specifications change along the way for any reason. He can undertake the majority of building tasks himself but also has an excellent list of contacts he can call on for any very specialised elements - so he can manage larger projects as well as doing smaller jobs. He has a very broad knowledge of all sorts of traditional and modern construction techniques, and overall I'd definitely recommend him for any projects large or small.

We originally hired Matthew and his colleague to replace two basins, a flush in one bathroom and check the reason why one radiator was not properly working. They both demonstrated to be very professional, always keen to provide the best recommendation to us even if this reduced the scope of their work and consequently their profit. For example they strongly advised to not replace one of the two basins due to the high risk of damage of the pipes due to a previous work not properly done by another plumber. Other two important aspects are their perfectionism when doing the work and their availability in coming to our house with short notice. We would surely strongly recommend them even for more complex jobs.
