AMR offers great value and service — turned up on time, got the work done without any problem, found another issue with my flue and was able to fix that for a good price too. More than willing and able to explain issues and investigate something that had gone through other tradespeople (a boiler engineer and gas emergency personnel) to diagnose what went wrong and reassure us we wouldn't run into other issues. OK, OK, yeah, Mark is as wonderful as his feedback states. Cool, calm, collected and personable. The air of a man confident in his skills and in it for the love, not just a quick buck! Issues with our peculiar hot water system, baffling both British Gas and a range of less capable engineers was sorted by Mark - within an hour! Give that man a cigar! Highly recommended, Mark is already airmarked to overhaul and update the entire system in the summer! Am a bit (ok, a lot) OCD but was as if he was never in the house - no sooty marks on my white walls, dirty fingerprints on the glasswork nor the inevitable tool left behind. Thank you sir.

This builder expects you to be able to list every single part of the job that needs doing. If it's not communicated through messaging that you need something doing as part of the job then he won't do it. For example - the partition wall that was put up, was not filled because he said that was not communicated in the messages. I would not know everything that should be done in order for a partition wall to look half completed. It is perfectly clear that this is a common occurrence as he repeatedly mentioned how he always shows people the messages sent back and fourth as proof of what they asked for. Bottom line - if you don't know all the tiny steps included in the job you want done then be expected to not get a full job done. He took off £100 off the agreed price due to my disbelief and disgust but this did not help as I then had to find another builder to complete what should have been completed. How can any builder put up a partition wall and not fill where plaster boards are joined
