Sinan responded quickly to my enquiry and came the same day to provide a quotation. He was knowledgeable and spent around 30 minutes in the flat inspecting the entire length of the flue including the section in the attic which was obstructed by boxes and suitcases. He even went out on the roof to see where it ended. After a thorough inspection, he honestly informed me that I do not need to fit an inspection hatchet as he was able to locate the entire length of it and I should refer my insurance company to him in case they insist one be fitted at my expense. Highly appreciate this especially since honesty is hard to come by nowadays! If my insurance company refuses to cover the boiler repair required, I will be hiring Sinan to complete the work.
