I would not recommend this contractor based on my experience. The job never commenced despite two site visits and discussions over a period of approximately two months. During that time, I was encouraged to purchase radiators, and I ultimately purchased around £8,500 worth of radiators in anticipation of the work proceeding. I was offered radiators through the contractor at a 10% discount, however I was able to obtain them directly from the supplier at approximately 45% discount. There were also repeated disagreements regarding requirements to remove underlay and clean the property before works could commence. In addition, I was initially led to believe that a 40kW replacement boiler would be installed, but once the contract was produced, it stated a 36kW boiler instead. I also found some of our discussions unnecessarily confrontational and, at times, I felt the contractor’s manner was aggressive. Others may have a different experience, but this contributed to my loss of confidence

Long delay from receiving quotes to fitting the new boiler, but that was entirely down to me. The old boiler was illegal in its original position and so the new one was put on an adjacent wall, all questions regarding this prior to installation were promptly answered. Arrived on time, got on with the installation and cleaned up as much as possible afterwards. I would definitely use Ruckheat again.
