Jeremy was very proactive and friendly, but ultimately didn't do as good a job as I would have expected. The brief was clear (I wanted the entire area turned over and prepared for planting) and he estimated 2 days' work. His estimate was off but instead of communicating this (and possibly re-negotiating fees) he handed over a half-finished job. While everything looked great at first glance, I still find large bricks, slabs and other debris less than 10 inches below the surface which makes planting anything into the flower borders an absolute pain. When I complained Jeremy did refund 10% of the job costs but ultimately I would have preferred a better quality of work and as a result would not chose to hire Jeremy again.

The guys I hired this team to do underpinning on my outbuilding, finish off the slabs on my patio, and build an entirely new driveway from scratch. They worked incredibly hard and did a fantastic job throughout. Communication was excellent from start to finish — they were always responsive, flexible, and really listened to what I wanted to achieve. The quality of the driveway and all the finishing work is top-notch, and to top it off, they completed everything a full week ahead of schedule. Very disappointing experience. The job was clearly advertised and agreed at £25 per hour, and this was confirmed again in writing before the tradesperson attended. After I travelled two hours to meet him at the property, he arrived and refused to honour the agreed rate, instead demanding £200 for the job. The issue is not the price itself, but agreeing to one rate and then changing it on arrival. This wasted my time and was highly unprofessional.

We struggled to get anyone interested in our refurbishment project originally, Mark answered an ad for a small part of the job and ended up being able to take on the whole thing thankfully. Our project was to completely strip out a 1960's maisonette flat, install internal insulation which involved extensive battening of all the external walls, new plasterboarding & plastering finishes to walls and ceilings, tiling and a completely new bathroom and kitchen install. To complicate things further, as enthusiastic DIY-ers we wanted to do lots of works ourselves as well and few builders would have worked alongside novices as well as Mark did. He was always happy to give advice or take over works when we realised they were beyond our skills or time ;-) Our project was constantly evolving and challenging - as we discovered hidden rotting floor joists and the joys of 60's engineering - door lintels - who needs those?! Mark was always there to help us problem solve and get the job done professionally and to high standards and this was all done throughout the challenging last year of lockdowns etc. Without hesitation we'd recommend Mark and his team. He was always reliable, flexible as the project developed and had excellent attention to detail and we couldn't have completed our project without him. Thank you Mark!
