  This guy showed an NHS application,with Geographic location of all the doors he fitted, show me photo's on his phone perfect fitted doors. Only when he came to do correct the fire doors, he was majorly insistent that i paid him for the two doors which i duely did. He then called me a further 2/3 times on same day insisting on Cash payment, so i had to pay double on the day prepaying for the next two doors as he was so insistent. I'm not sure he was drinking prior as there were smells from him. He arrived in a blue/ green van with a rhino sign on the roof rack. When i got an inspector to view the fire doors they were not satisfied with the level or quality of the work, and duely failed them. When i asked if i could pay 50% in 3/4 week for balustrading he became more insistent of pre-payment of first 50% , that he started slightly, goading me : give me payment now!.! prior to him starting We'll he cut up the balustrading on two floors, then had some work to do in London. Strange i 'm left 1 year later , with undue stress, balustrading down,fire doors not in good shape had to get in another carpenter in 3 weeks time.I am now running into 10/11 months after i hired him. Excited, enthusiastic and singing his praises is not quite what i have experienced. I'm sure he can do other things,skirtings, kitchens,to a level ,etc. He is alright, has quality tools, but this whole fire door thing has been a Saga/Stress. Maybe something got lost in translation as his English is very limited.

  The whole job was done in a very organized way from the materials delivered, and the demolishing of the old wall, old materials taken away immediately and building commenced. Garry even got us some fine weather to complete the fantastic work along with some added extras that were the icing on the cake. Everywhere all cleaned up and left tidy when finished each day and at the end of their work. I would recommend this guy and his team anytime. Thank you for referring him.

  I am a timed served Joiner by trade with 35 years experience, i have worked in many environments including shopfitting and bespoke joinery, i have always fitted kitchens from being a apprentice and now this is my primary line of work, i do however take on small building works if the customer has walls etc to remove.

  After being let down by two local tradesmen, my wife searched, and found 'my builder. com' website to search for suitable tradespeople to start work and finish within our specific timescale. We chose Gary, as he had a group of tradespeople who could fit around this work. As he stated to us, every trade (plasterer, electrician, plumber and kitchen fitter) was very prompt and professional in their work and the timings of our schedules. The plastering and attention to detail in the fittings was very high spec. We were let down by the kitchen deliveries quite a few times, a faulty freezer, the wrong doors, etc, and Gary very patiently helped with the final touches, albeit two weeks later through the incorrect and late deliveries. A huge thankyou to Gary and his crew. We would definitely recommend him again.
