Groundwork & Foundations- 11 May 2025
Do not touch Danny with a barge pole, hired him to do a labour only job of digging foundations for an extension and concrete base. Unreliable as he rarely turned up when he said he would, apart from working two days he would turn up work for 2-3 hours max and then make up an excuse so he could leave. He poured foundations for the extension and in all honesty calling him a cowboy is an understatement, footings aren’t level or flat and there is a massive dip which would only be of use to Tony Hawk. He has ghosted me for weeks not replying to messages or calls. Heard every excuse with him, he came back to look at his cowboy job and said he would fix it. Multiple times he’s arranged to come and then just not turned up, he doesn’t even give an excuse anymore. Takes no pride in what he does. Oh and this is all knowing that I have just gone into remission from having cancer. Will be going to small claims court. I repeat do not give this chancer the time of day.

James came to do a small job but ended up doing a lot of work on our house refurb as we were so impressed by his enthusiasm, creativity and skill. Jobs undertaken included door frames, archetrives, skirtings and kitchen fitting, as well as reconstruction of an old timber panelled wall. But most notably James designed, constructed and installed bespoke storage solutions in two alcoves in our lounge using reclaimed timber. The house is old and neeed a carpenter with a good eye for design and attention to detail, both of which James has. Highly recommended. Thanks James.
