Able to do the job quickly and efficiently. Seemed knowledgable and trustworthy. Found a couple more issues with our roof whilst doing the agreed work. Additional price agreed for further works - 2 broken tiles and rotten underfelt. Tony identified exactly what was required with leaking gutter clips. Then having established that the clips were no longer in production, he sourced suitable, generic replacements. Avoid, avoid, avoid - although, I suspect from the lack of recent reviews, this individual is no longer operating under this profile. Dave Allen (Southsea Building & Maintenance) is personable enough but did nothing but harm my property. He mis-diagnosed the main the problem; used incorrect materials (for eg, tried to patch a hole in my EPDM rubber roof with felt & used the entirely wrong sealant around the roof); and caused more damage than was already there (eg caused a new, large, damp patch in my stairwell). Dave at first happily offered a refund yet after 18 months and many excuses I am still out of pocket and facing a hefty bill to put things right. He obviously had no intention of refunding. After much wasted time, I realize I should have known better.
