My name is Chris, and I've been in the building industry for 40 years. A Bricklayer by trade, but have acquired other skills from the various tradespeople that I've worked with over the years. I work mainly on my own, and use sub-contractors as and when they are needed, so as to keep my costs down when pricing for work. I only use sub-contractors that meet my high quality of work, which I've prided myself on over the years. My main work is Brickwork, refurbishments, conversions and extensions. I left school in 2006 to begin my career in construction, working with my Dad and Uncle who was the managing director of TPCT (The personal construction team). Here I learnt many of the skills I work with today, kitchen & bathroom installation, plastering, plumbing, painting & decorating, tiling and carpentry. Having earned my stripes over a 6-year period I decided it was time to set up my own business which eventually evolved to become the company I have today, D Baker building and maintenance services. I really do love what I do and I get so much satisfaction from delivering a high quality professional service to my customers, whilst giving real value for money. I'm a small company based in Bognor and if I'm honest I haven't used Mybuilder for a long time as I haven't needed too due to lots of work coming from word of mouth.
