Latest review:Stephen built a three bedroom detached house in the grounds of my old house. It was done to an excellent standard - even down to the door handles and the doors. He designed the whole thing and got the maximum efficiency without disturbing the quality. The downstairs is open plan and he worked on getting equipment with reduced noise levels. He was instrumental in getting the plumber and electricians organised and I didn't have to worry about a thing. His communications were excellent and he would come back to me within ten minutes and would organise everything to make sure they ran efficiently. I am delighted with the work and he also took any problems with regard to connecting the services away from me. I would certainly recommend him - there was not a fault or a failing. If have another rebuild done I would use Stephen because he was capable of doing everything with regard to the build - from architects onwards. He would be able to overcome any problems with the architects and he could resolve any problems for me. It is absolutely fabulous and everything has worked out perfectly. I have nothing but praise for Stephen Hambly.

Recently i decided to start a small building company and have overseen many projects that include all brickwork and hard landscaping tasks.
Latest review:Extensions-My extensions aren’t complete and despite there only being a few days work left Tom told me he wont be back to finish the job. I hired Tom to build a rear ext and porch ext. Work began Oct 2023, contracted to finish early Dec with a few weeks contingency. Internally the rear ext was completed to a plastered finish and kitchen installed before Xmas. The outer blockwork is partially done on the rear ext, but not started on porch (I have now paid for & finished the insulation, plasterboard and skimming) Tom had other jobs lined up to start in Jan so he couldnt come out then. In Feb I learned his company was being folded. When I spoke to him he promised he would still finish the job but needed some time to work on other jobs and earn money. He was due back this week to finish off the blockwork. He messaged the day before saying he isn’t coming back. I’ll have to pay someone else to finish the blockwork. It took me 4 weekends and 16 skip runs to clear the mess he left in the garden.

He is clearly knowledgeable, took the time to give advice, and carried out works to a high standard at a very reasonable price. He responds quickly to queries and kept in touch throughout the job. Worked on to get my log burner installed even after discovering problems with my chimney. Really pleased, and discussed further works on my house for later in the year. Can't recommend highly enough. MyBuilder can be a gamble at times, but I wouldn't hesitate to hire again.

Latest review:Extensions-David and his dad David were great from start to finish. Friendly and reliable with a high standard of workmanship across all aspects of the project which included a single storey extension, new kitchen, upstairs bathroom refurbishment and full door and window replacement. Nothing was too much trouble and any issues that arose during construction were always met with a can-do attitude. We found them to be competitively priced and able to provide a wealth of experience from many years in the industry. Would thoroughly recommend D&D Homecare to others and wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future.
