Latest review:Extensions-Mr Baldry was sympathetic to my needs and very polite and professional in handling the quote. I'm comparing his approach to another company who didn't even come out to measure but still quoted on the roofing job by viewing photos of the site. Very questionable.

Latest review:Extensions-I cannot praise Ryan highly enough. He has skilfully translated our outline plan and built a dog run from our existing barn and adapted one end of the barn as kennelling. The construction involved bricklaying, roofing and extensive carpentry whilst utilising supplied metalwork. The resulting structure blends superbly with the existing building. There has been great attention to details and problem solving which illustrates his intelligent, creative and considerate approach to his work. All the work is of the highest standard.Throughout the project Ryan kept me well informed with progress and an accurate timetable. I always knew when to expect him, he collected additional items himself and supervised deliveries. The same high standards were delivered by carpenter Paul, whose additional creative suggestions and additions were much appreciated. It has been a pleasure to have Ryan and Paul working on this project. I would have no hesitation in asking them to undertake other work or in recommending them to others. (And the dogs loved them!).

Latest review:Extensions-Roof boarding completed by Steven Davies, but not well finished, all rubbish left in roof ,& large surplus of wooden materials left there , we had paid for!: June/July '23. The loft door wasn't hinged or adapted to fit the loft ladder as requested or ladder purchased & fitted. So the job is incomplete. Do I have any recourse, as I paid in full? Or, will he come and complete the job ? The A1 construction builder Steven Davies promised to complete the roof when doing the garage conversion for me starting on 30th July '23, but work never started . I have not heard anything since? He/ I discovered planning permission was required on 30th July, a coincidence? was required for this to go ahead. So Steven Davis couldn't proceed. Previously he had said I didn't need planning permission !! He knew knew building legislation required me to raise the roof of garage etc The day he was meant to start work on the garage the builder steven Davis introduced me to an architect and I'm still waiting for planning permission, second time around! I was lead to believe by the builder Steven Davisb & architect it would be a short easy process! I now need full planning permission, after applying in August and failing to get planning permission and now applying for full planning permission ( due 12th Dec. This process has added to initial costs ( not expected) and no work or contact has been made by A1 Construction Steven Davis with me since July 30th, '23 , advise?

Latest review:Bricklaying-Hired Gary to Replace the front wall and Stone paving to my victorian house in Gorelston on sea. The job was finished to a high standard and i am completely satisfied with the work. Communication, punctuality and demeanor is what i expected from professional such as Gary. I can recommend Gary as competent builder with an abundance of knowledge for his trade. Will be hiring him again in the near future for future projects.
