Leigh came to fix faulty light circuit and change lights in hallway, which he did, and he was pleasant and helpful. Only after I paid him and he left did I discover that whatever he had done had stopped the light switch on ground floor from working. I repeatedly tried to get him back to fix, waited around for him when he said he would come on multiple days, but he never showed up. He is now not responding to messages and I will have to find another electrician to fix. He’s wasted my time and money and I am not happy at all.

I hired this electrician to carry out an EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report). He initially quoted £130, but after I mentioned that another company had offered £120, he reduced his price to £75. The inspection was completed, but the report came back “unsatisfactory” due to an earth reading of 1.07 instead of 0.6. He then quoted me £140 to investigate and fix the issue — almost double the cost of the inspection. I believe he should have contacted me while on site to discuss the problem and give me the option to have it resolved immediately, which would have saved a second visit and extra cost. Because of this lack of communication and transparency, I lost confidence in his service and decided to hire another electrician, who resolved the issue quickly and at a lower price. Overall, I found the experience disappointing and would not recommend this electrician.

Jack from Madron Electrical carried out the 1st fix electrical work on my extension project at very short notice, which helped the project progress massively. I’m extremely pleased with his so far. He was punctual, organised, and worked efficiently throughout. The wiring was installed neatly and to a high standard, showing real attention to detail. Jack communicated clearly at every stage and was happy to spend time getting the positioning perfect even though he didn’t have a set plan to work with! He left the site tidy after completing the work. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him for any electrical work and will definitely be getting back to install the second fix.
