  • PLEASE DON'T SEND INVITE AS I WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE CHARGED TO REPLY TO YOU. EICR certs and Fuseboard refit prices below. THANKS Hi I'm Anthony/Tony, a 53yo electrician, inspector & tester currently registered under Napit (83430) born in the UK with over 20years experience working solely within the electrical industry. I mostly specialise in EICR safety checks and certification for landlords, estate agents (5years) and domestic customers to keep their house insurance valid (10years). The most common job I do is, the supply and fitting of a new fuseboard/CU together with certification and local authority notification. As a member of Napit and the CPS scheme, all workmanship and installations carry a 6 year warranty. Even if my business ceases to exist, Napit will Guarantee my work for 6 years upto £25k. Any fittings supplied by me will carry a 1 year Warranty providing they have not been tampered with or had excessive use. I'm also a property landlord and have a small rental portfolio in the North of England hence, the 'company name' and I work as an Electrician within that company name. I cover all the usual maintenance work, repairs, fault finding and replacement of fittings, sockets, lighting etc, etc. Wiring and certification for extra sockets & lighting, garden sheds, garages, workshops etc. I will occasionally do domestic or commercial rewires, depending on size and timescale as I generally work alone. Any large rewire or new installation will generally include a contract to agree on the scope, timeline and release dates of money. Also: Insurance quoting (this may include small fee depending on distance?). New build installations including, houses, shops, flats, extensions & loft conversions. Problem solving and solutions. External security lighting. General quoting. CU CHANGE & EICR QUOTES HERE: my flat fee for an EICR report on my builder is £160 upto 10 used circuits and £200 for larger installations. A Fuseboard CU change starts at £500 including SPD and upto 4 (RCBO) breakers. Then £40 per extra circuit/rcbo breaker. As electricians, when we change a fuseboard we are then responsible, legally for every circuit within that property. If your house or business is filled with issues or anomalies that don't conform to current BS7671 regulations, we are required to put everything right before we can issue certificates. So extra unknown costs can apply. An EICR can uncover everything that doesn't conform to BS7671 and is often recommended before a board change, especially in older buildings with old wiring. You can then rest that your circuits are safe and if you have a faulty appliance it will do it's job to shut off the power supply and your insurance will be valid for any unfortunate circumstances.

What to ask a Purfleet electrician before hiring?

Before hiring an electrical contractor or company in Purfleet, ask a few key questions to ensure you’re choosing the right professional for your job.

What qualifications and certifications do you hold as an electrician in Purfleet? An electrician in Purfleet should be registered with a recognised body, such as NICEIC or NAPIT, and have appropriate qualifications (like NVQ Level 3 or equivalent). This ensures they meet safety standards and are legally allowed to carry out electrical work.

Will the electrical work in Purfleet comply with current safety regulations and be certified? Electricians in Purfleet should confirm that their work will comply with electrical regulations (like Part P of the Building Regulations) and provide the appropriate certification once the work is completed, ensuring everything is safe and legal.

What experience do you have with similar electrical projects in Purfleet? Ask the electrician about their experience with the specific type of electrical work you need, whether it’s rewiring, adding circuits, or installing lighting. They should be able to share relevant examples of previous projects they've completed in Purfleet.

How long will the electrical work in Purfleet take to complete? The timeline will vary depending on the project. For example, a full rewire could take a few days, while installing new lighting or adding outlets may only take a few hours. Be sure to ask for an estimated completion time based on the specifics of your job.

Do you offer a guarantee for your electrical work in Purfleet? Electricians in Purfleet typically offer a guarantee on their work, ranging from 1 to 3 years. This shows they stand behind their work and gives you peace of mind that any issues will be addressed.
