He then came and snagged the work after the scaffolding came down. A clean and tidy worker I would thoroughly reccomend him. All receipts provided for materials purchased.

We hired Michael to do small electrical jobs around the house after he visited and quoted a price that seemed reasonable. We assumed Michael would do the work but this wasn't the case. Another person (Ben) came and did 2 of the 4 jobs. He was capable & helpful. We agreed he'd come back to complete the other jobs. I got an invoice which included the jobs yet to be done. I paid them immediately & emailed Michael back asking when Ben could come back. I heard nothing until end of week when Michael said he'd been on a solar training course. He told me he'd speak to Ben and get back to me by Monday. A date was arranged for Ben to visit but he didn’t turn up. Ben was apparently on holiday the week after so he couldn’t do the job. Another person was sent (Matt) and that’s when things went downhill. Matt turned up 2 hours late. He tried to install a light above the toilet, which he broke. He left a mess in the bathroom from taking out the old light. Left handprints on the wall and broken glass on the floor. He said he'd replace the light and gave me his email address so I could send him the link of where I bought the item. We never heard from him again. I complained to Michael who said Matt had not told him what had happened. Eventually Michael agreed to refund the amount for the jobs not done and the broken light fitting which we still have installed in the wall. Unfortunately we have only had one negative experience on My Builder and this was it.
