First of all I am a professional landlord. I needed to find a new electrician as my last one that had I had been using for the last 12 years was becoming painfully unreliable. In the past I would only use NICEIC electricians. The quotes I received from mybuilder.com were from one extreme to the other extreme. For some reason I decided to take on Mehdi from M F Building Services, it may have been because he was registered with Napit & that he did not have any feedback what so ever, my thinking for this was I'm sure he is going to be good & reasonable to get on the ladder with feedbacks. His quote was not the cheapest but fair. He produced his badge and insurance both of which I have copies for my records. (I also checked him out with Napit registration.) In the past I would only use NICEIC electricians but I have read about Napit and have seen it growing over the last few years. Anyway back to the job and feedback for Mehdi . His price was accepted for the job. Mehdi gave me a date and time and arrived 10 minutes early. The job was completed and an invoice and Napit minor works certificate supplied. After this I asked Medhi if he could do an electrical safety test for one of my properties that was becoming due. Again date and time was kept and the test carried out and a Napit Safety Certificate supplied. As a person/electrician he is friendly, knowledgeable & helpful. I have today given his number to one of the managing agents that I deal with.

He was good on price for the first inspection and attended as agreed. However, I was less happy with the remedial quote. Several items quoted did not appear to be needed, while some items that did need attention were not included. Overall, fine for the inspection, but I would have preferred a more accurate and practical quote for the follow-up work.

I hired Mohammad for a last-minute urgent job to reinstall a badly fitted bathroom light fixture. A previous electrician had left Wago clips exposed and had not installed the light safely...something Mohamed immediately spotted when he removed the light cover. He arrived on time, was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and a really nice guy. He also took the time to give us helpful tips on how best to proceed with other electrical work in our flat. He arrived on time and was fast in replacing the lightbulb holder (he brought the replacement). All worked fine and he then sent by email the invoice as requested. Kind and well mannered.
