I am very pleased with the work Wheeler Construction did for me including bricking up an external door and creating a new one, fitting new windows, widening an internal doorway and installing a fire door. What stood out most was the level of care and attention to detail throughout – it genuinely felt as though they were approaching the work as if it were their own home. The standard of workmanship was consistently high, and the team were professional and easy to deal with from start to finish. As with most building projects, not everything went exactly to plan, but any issues that arose were handled well, with a clear focus on getting things right. Overall, I’m very happy with the outcome and would have no hesitation in recommending Wheeler Construction. I’ll certainly use them again for any building work.

Sam did a great job, dealt with our disagreements with what we wanted, and got on and delivered the solution that looks good and works well. We wanted the bathroom done quite quickly and Sam got the majority of the job done in 3 days, with a few extra thing that took a couple of further days to resolve. Would use again.

From start to finish, the whole process was handled professionally and to a very high standard. The project involved structural beam work, and the team did an excellent job managing everything smoothly and safely. Their workmanship and attention to detail were outstanding throughout. Told me £300 and that’s what it was.... went home made a door for the next day and it’s all done. And now he is moving on doing other bits. Initially we were so delighted to have Darren Jones to take on our urgent work - he seemed so positive and knowledgeable. However, so many things had to be constantly over-seen to make sure that the work was completed satisfactorily. Removal of severely rotten wood (dry rot) from window frame had to be asked for, inserting a concrete lintel (wooden one affected by dry rot was hidden behind plaster board and I had to ask to see if the concrete lintel had been used - it hadn't). Rebuilding of window frame had to be monitored step by step to ensure a Victorian effect was achieved without using any UPVC, and then the doorway was built too small for the existing door even having asked to make sure it would be built to fit the door. A job which should only have taken 8 working days ended up taking 6 weeks. There were many delays, and in the end we had to arrange for all rubbish to be removed ourselves and to arrange for various little jobs to be done by other people as the tenants were ready to move in - Darren knew about the deadline right from the beginning of the work. In the end we have a reasonable job but the stress in keeping the job up to an acceptable level of workmanship without living there was quite considerable. Darren's son Derron and friend Dave worked very hard to try and rectify many things for us doing a good job in the end for which we were very grateful.

The team arrived on time, worked efficiently, and clearly knew exactly what they were doing. The difference in the loft is incredible — it’s now safer, more accessible, and genuinely useful as a storage space. The new hatch and ladder are solid, smooth to operate, and fitted with real attention to detail. Everything was left clean and tidy.

From the get go, Raj and his team were a pleasure to deal with and have working in our home. The quoting and design stage was clear and efficient, and he recommended some great features for our kitchen build. They recommended we get our kitchen from Howdens and we are very impressed with the quality. We had the entire kitchen - floor to ceiling worked on, so new lighting layout and flooring as well. The work started on time and Raj and his team broke down everything that had was carried out each day and when certain processes were about to happen. They done a fantastic job fitting it all, it looks really nice and you can tell they take pride in their work due to their attention to detail. I highly recommend them and they will be my first choice for any other work I need carried out in the future.
