How Much Does an Office Deep Clean Cost?
Deep cleaning is often needed when routine cleaning isn’t enough to keep an office truly fresh.
High foot traffic, built-up grime, or the need for a hygienic reset, such as after a renovation, at tenancy changeover, or during seasonal clean-ups, are common triggers for this service.
This can include carpet shampooing, window cleaning, and high-level disinfection, all carried out with specialist equipment. Because of the extra time and care required, costs are usually higher, averaging £30–£45 per hour.

Cost-Saving Tips for Office Cleaning Costs
Cutting down on office cleaning costs is a priority for many businesses that want to keep their workplace clean without stretching the budget. With a few smart methods, it’s possible to save money while still maintaining a professional and healthy environment. Here are some cost-saving tips for office cleaning:
- Regular Maintenance: Follow a consistent cleaning schedule for tasks like vacuuming and dusting to prevent dirt build-up and reduce the need for deep cleaning.
- Outsource Cleaning: Outsourcing is often more cost-effective than hiring in-house staff, as it avoids managing employees and purchasing supplies.
- Bundle Services: Combining services like general cleaning, carpet cleaning, and window washing can lower overall costs with one provider.
- Negotiate Contracts: Long-term or frequent cleaning agreements may reduce rates, and comparing quotes gives you negotiating power. By putting these strategies into practice, you’ll be able to lower your cleaning costs without sacrificing a clean, professional workplace.

FAQs Common Questions About Office Cleaning Costs
How does the frequency of cleaning impact the overall cost?
More frequent cleanings, such as daily or several times a week, typically reduce the need for deep cleaning but increase overall costs. However, regular cleanings can prevent the build-up of dirt, potentially saving money on more intensive services like carpet cleaning or deep sanitisation in the long run.
What is the cost difference between regular cleaning and specialised services like medical office cleaning?
While regular office cleaning services cost between £15 to £30 per hour, specialised services like medical office cleaning may be significantly more expensive due to strict hygiene standards and the need for specialist equipment and knowledge. These services could range from £30 to £100 per hour, depending on the complexity of the job.
Do office cleaning companies charge extra for green or eco-friendly cleaning products?
Yes, many companies charge a premium for using eco-friendly or sustainable cleaning products. These can cost anywhere from £0.50 to £2 per litre more than standard products. However, they are less environmentally harmful and can contribute to a healthier workplace.
Are there cleaning services available for after-hours or weekends?
Yes, many cleaning companies offer after-hours or weekend cleaning services, particularly useful for businesses that cannot disrupt daily operations. However, these services typically come with additional costs, ranging from £5 to £10 extra per hour, and may increase further on public holidays.
Can I get discounts if I bundle multiple cleaning services?
Many office cleaning companies offer discounted rates if you bundle services such as carpet cleaning, window cleaning, and general office cleaning. This can lead to significant savings, as bundled packages tend to lower the individual cost of each service compared to booking them separately.
What happens if I need emergency office cleaning after an incident?
Emergency office cleaning services are available for urgent situations like spills, accidents, or unexpected messes. These services usually come at an extra cost, often ranging from £20 to £100 per incident, depending on the urgency and complexity of the job. Some companies may charge higher rates for emergency work outside normal business hours.
How do companies ensure quality control in office cleaning services?
To ensure consistency, many professional cleaning companies use quality control measures such as periodic inspections, customer feedback surveys, and checklists. Some also offer guarantees to revisit and fix any issues if the cleaning doesn’t meet agreed standards.

I’m looking for something that: Does not rust Does not stop working after a short time Has strong spray pressure I’ve had bad luck with low‑pressure bottles and ones that break quickly. Thank you.
