Dan was great. Very pleasant and conciencous. He came out and gave an honest opinion which saved spending more than we had to. Dan was punctual and worked quickly and efficiently. Our new floor looks great and fired at a fair cost. Dan cleaned everything up and was very tidy and respectful. We found a very minor problem and Dan was straight out the next day and in minutes all was rectified. We already have Dan down for doing the rest of the flooring in our house. No issues in recommending Dan to anyone at all. Make sure you invite him to look at your job

Hard Flooring- 7 Apr 2025
I hired Rob to level my sloped floor and lay laminate. He had great reviews and seemed trustworthy. On day 2, I emailed him to say the slope was still there. On day 3, Rob and his colleague bizarrely denied I’d ever asked for the slope to be fixed, even though it was clearly stated in my ad. They claimed I’d only mentioned a “bounce,” which was never an issue. They tried to gaslight me with excuses like “it’s within building regs,” “it’s level, just not straight,” and “you never said it was sloping.” No solutions were offered. With a disabled son and three cats, I couldn’t cope with the mess, so I asked them to just finish and leave. Rob reduced the bill from £1453 to £1156 and promised an itemised receipt, which never came. £220 of that was for a cancelled skip, so the actual reduction was £77. I bought the laminate, so I paid £1156 just to have it laid—on a still sloping floor. I feel totally misled, patronised, and duped. I can't afford to have it redone. The 4⁰slope is now 8⁰-1.1⁰

Great service from start to finish from Mike and team, and very reasonably priced. We had engineered wood herringbone flooring fitted alongside carpet on the stairs, and the team were friendly and professional throughout. The herringbone floor in particular is stunning — the intricacy of the pattern really shows the level of skill involved, and it's become a real feature of the house. Would definitely recommend.

What practical training or hands-on experience do you have in floor fitting?

Many Preston floor fitters complete apprenticeships or training courses such as NVQ Level 2 in Floorcovering Occupations. This involves on-site assessment and practical work covering carpet, vinyl, wood, or laminate flooring installations.
