Lovely job done, took two days. It included repairing several areas of floorboards in the hallway before sanding and finishing both that and two further rooms. A very tidy and professional worker who fulfilled our brief exactly. Would hire him again. Big plus he is willing to travel distance to the job. He comes from Cornwall and we live in the Peak District. He was competitively priced. We contacted Paul in November 2024 about a possible reflooring project. He responded promptly and, living nearby, visited the next day. Now that's service! His visit was unhurried, supportive and informative. Paul gave us excellent advice on options, guidance on preparing the areas and tips on where to view and purchase flooring. We chose engineered wood, prepared the floors and purchased the materials. Paul provided a clear, competitive breakdown of charges and a timeline. With five rooms to do, it was no small job, but Paul aimed to finish before Christmas. He started in early December and completed it in two weeks. Paul's work was exemplary, showing commitment, care and precision. His attention to detail and communication ensured that every decision was thoughtful, leaving us with a stunning floor beautifully fitted in time for the holidays. Overall the quality of the work was good, but the price was quite high. We were on a tight schedule otherwise we might have gone for a cheaper option. Rafa did a fantastic job of replacing my breakfast room/kitchen floor. He had to lift the sub floor and strengthen all the joists ensuring that they were structurally sound and without squeaks. He then laid a fresh sub floor in the kitchen and laid the finish using Novocore rigid vinyl flooring. Then replaced the skirting boards. His craftsmanship is excellent, as is his manner. He involved me in every step of the way. Timekeeping was great. Without doubt he was the most pleasant workman I have ever had in my home of 35 years.
