Firstly Robert quoted for the job then added diesel money to the quote, a little unusual if I'm truthful, Robert arrived a little late, I'd text him to see if he was still coming when he arrived, he and set to work, I left him to it and he finished around two hours later. I paid and on further inspection the bedroom door handle wasn't working properly, not a great start, I had to dismantle the handle and clean out the swarf from the inside before it worked properly, both doors appear to have been cut a little small and don't fit all the way into the frame, they sit proud of the frame by 10mm or so, in my opinion the frame should have been chopped out and the door hinges fully recessed this would have pulled the door into the frame, this is the way my other three doors were fitted by another joiner. The long edge of the bedroom door also had what I can only describe as gouge marks in it, as though the tools he was using grabbed and tore the wood resulting in a rough cut, the top of the kitchen door is also very rough and the doors have been cut too small, from certain angles you can see light between door and frame when standing in the hall and looking into the kitchen with the door closed, I'm sure it shouldn't be like this the door fits closer at the bottom of the frame then the top where the fit is pretty bad, not good enough to be honest. I'm afraid I won't be employing Robert for any more joinery work within my home or recommending him to anyone else.

Very Disappointing! Chris initially made a great impression — punctual, polite and professional. He measured up our kitchen, gave advice and arranged LVT samples. Floor prep started well, but an area left unprepared (on his advice that it wouldn’t matter under cupboards) later caused levelling issues with our washer and dishwasher. When he returned to lay the floor, tiles were lifting and gaps were visible. He said he would return to fix it and asked for payment, which I made. After that, communication stopped. He only replied when I mentioned leaving a review, refunded £200 and asked me to reconsider. Six tradespeople have since confirmed the floor was poorly prepped and must be completely replaced. This has ruined our kitchen and will cost thousands to fix. We are now proceeding with a small claims action.

Rick came to give a precise quote after seeing a photo of the work that needed doing online His quote was reasonable and we decided to go ahead with the tiling the following week Rick was punctual and got straight to work, he came back the following day as the tile adhesive needed to dry and finished most of the job in2 days The finishing touches were done as he needed the correct colour sealant as he wasn’t happy with the finish Overall we were happy with our new kitchen tiles and would recommend Rick to anyone who needs a hard working efficient joiner/kitchen fitter
