DJ redid our utility floor pulled up old damp wood and replaced after building it up to the correct level and put down new laminate wood flooring. It looks tidy it was completed efficiently and we are very pleased. Good price too. Friendly team.

After 13 years and 16 jobs on here, this is my first negative review. But I would avoid at all costs for large projects, due to their lack of communication and organisational skills. If you do proceed, I’d suggest: - Confirm in writing they’ve read and understood all the plans and have no questions or concerns about anything. - Confirm that cost overruns will be communicated weekly, with a breakdown of the costs. - Confirm the builders on site will have been given the actual plans for the work being done. - Confirm terms will be agreed up-front and will not change them weekly. - Arrange payments on milestones met and not time elapsed. Confirm additional work will only proceed when agreed in writing in advance. - Require weekly f2f meetings with the owner at end of play on Fridays to assess progress and surface any issues, concerns or questions. - Confirm who will be leading the project on-site. - Confirm that if huge overages will be presented with an itemised breakdown.

Tony did such an excellent job reworking a cupboard that had just had an emersion heater removed. He used exactly the materials I hoped he would and did the neatest work possible to make the cupboard into a proper storage space. What a difference he made! Tony is very easy to have around because of his warm and open nature. I have sharp social instincts, and felt I could immediately trust him. He's conscienscious and goes out of his way to leave the space tidy, with no trace of evidence! I'm so pleased I can add Tony to my team of utility/domestic helpers. He has plenty of skills, and I'm looking forward to other work that we've scheduled. He charged me less than I imagined, which is SO good because I've just bought a house that needs a lot of TLC. Be assured to go ahead and book!

Ian was absolutely excellent, first class. I'm always a little bit apprehensive about using somebody I've never worked with for the first time, and this was a tricky problem which was difficult to diagnose. From the moment Ian arrived on site, I felt comfortable that he really knew what he was talking about and really cared about getting the resolution that I needed. It's fair to say that watching Ian work is a little bit like watching a magician work. Quite how he worked out where the leak was in our field is a little bit beyond me, but he absolutely nailed it, was able to solve a problem that nobody else was able to solve, and then went above and beyond, spending many hours on the phone with the local water authority to get my problem issued, get people out to site and diagnose and admit fault. Ian did all of this without any prompting from me and kept me informed and up to date at all times. He's a super nice guy too. I couldn't recommend Ian more.
