Tony was nothing but professional. He arrived on time and completed the job to a high standard. We had been let down by another builder who were unable to complete the job. The fact that Toby not only completed the job but resolved the issues that the other contract were unable to, highlight his skill set. Toby was friendly and left the environment clean and tidy afterwards. I would highly recommend him.

Brad was fantastic with the fitting of our kitchen. We had some awkward requirements, as we needed to fit some new units in with some existing units, as well as new worktops with upstand, and a completely new floor (laminate). We also needed the job done quickly, and he was able to work to our timetable. Brad had some good ideas about how to go about the project, and as it progressed, he was able to adapt everything to fit in well together. He worked efficiently and with care, to leave us with a kitchen we are very pleased with. He was able to source the extra bits needed to finish off the project (panels, extra flooring, sealant, etc.). He was polite, professional, pleasant, listened carefully to what we wanted, and cleaned up at the end of each day's work. We are very happy with the results, and would definitely hire him again.

After 13 years and 16 jobs on here, this is my first negative review. But I would avoid at all costs for large projects, due to their lack of communication and organisational skills. If you do proceed, I’d suggest: - Confirm in writing they’ve read and understood all the plans and have no questions or concerns about anything. - Confirm that cost overruns will be communicated weekly, with a breakdown of the costs. - Confirm the builders on site will have been given the actual plans for the work being done. - Confirm terms will be agreed up-front and will not change them weekly. - Arrange payments on milestones met and not time elapsed. Confirm additional work will only proceed when agreed in writing in advance. - Require weekly f2f meetings with the owner at end of play on Fridays to assess progress and surface any issues, concerns or questions. - Confirm who will be leading the project on-site. - Confirm that if huge overages will be presented with an itemised breakdown.

Elliott and Jake were professional, friendly and wonderfully efficient. Elliott gave a rough estimate from outline drawings then a detailed quote from detailed drawings. They then built to that quote, explaining any variations with us and confirming the cost before progressing and keeping us informed at every stage. They worked quickly, cleanly and to a very high standard, with the minimum disruption to us. We would recommend them to anyone.

Oli made good the folly..... ...of my previous builder who walked off the job with no explanation and a hefty deposit for materials. After being let down royally by someone I thought I could trust, I had to contract a new tradesman to do the essential plastering and repair work that was left. Oli of J West & Son was that tradesman. I now have some pretty good plastered walls ready for painting, and some new coving in place of ragged holes. All should pass muster for viewings now thanks to someone reliable. Oli and Jordan, once again thanks for a lifesaving service.

Simon did a great job of pulling up an existing wood floor in our living that was very stubborn to get up and getting the floor area in a suitable state where luxury vinyl flooring could be installed. He also fitted new skirting boards and did some painting for us in the room. Simon was very friendly and professional and gave us some really helpful advice all throughout.
