I booked Wayne Martin for a plastering job and rearranged my holiday plans to accommodate the dates he agreed to. Unfortunately, the start date was repeatedly changed and pushed back over several weeks, causing unnecessary delays and inconvenience. After waiting around four weeks, we eventually agreed that I would drop off the keys so work could begin. However, at that point Wayne started raising concerns about payment and gave various reasons why he could not proceed with the job, despite having already agreed to undertake the work. The entire experience was extremely disappointing. Communication became difficult, and I found some interactions to be aggressive and unprofessional. As a full-time property developer who regularly works with tradespeople and contractors, I have rarely encountered this level of unreliability. My impression was that he may have overcommitted to other work and no longer wanted to take on the job, but whatever the reason, the repeated delays, poor communic

The standard of work was abysmal. The photos in the photo gallery must have been taken from someone else's site. Catalogue of errors. Where do I start. - Failed to follow the instructions on boarding the ceiling, instead boxing off part of the room. - Much of the insulation was removed, - The boards were not properly screwed down, leaving unlevelled floor board, with dips and rises in the floor. - Both the flooring and ceiling boards had gaps, which were filled with foam. - The work caused cracks in the ceiling below. - The original fitted loft door was cut. This was cut short. Then repaired by putting another piece of wood on top. The loft door is now two pieces of board stuck together, which is unsightly to look at. -Since the "job" was done the loft door does not stay closed, as the lock was not properly fitted probably due to the loft door not fitting. -The ladder is flimsy, the cheapest on the market. As the loft is high I have been told that the ladder is inadequate. I requested the receipt to return it. The receipt was sent to me after the 30 days that the ladder was purchased. The shop were it was brought refused to take it back as it was outside the refund period. The flooring is so bad it has to be boarded over, which is an additional cost. The plasterer had to screw down boards before he could start plastering.

Unreliable,uncommunicative,untrustworthy,dillusional and unreasonable is how we find Dai.He came and gave us a quote(him and Melissa via email)We agreed start date 1st may.At 1st May 1300hours I text him and he write. "Due to complication at the job in hand he cannot start till 5th may" we agreed again. Come 5th of May 30 minutes before start time. Now he says he needs contract signed. We pointed out WE HAVENT RECEIVED ANY CONTRACT(in email and text) then he comes back accusing us being rude to Melissa? And he requires deposit(HALF AN HOUR BEFORE STARTING THE JOB) When we point out NEITHER WE RECEIVED ANY CONTRACT, as he suggested, NOR WE TALKED ABOUT THE DEPOSIT IN QUOTE OR VERBALLY. we dont even know what the deposit was? Which shows his communicative skills. He stopped writing. We have been unable to raise him in any means. So we thanked him and take his silence as refusal. HIRE HIM AT YOUR PERIL. after 5 weeks we are back to square one because of him, and starting over again.
