Ash (owner of AJV Home Improvements) is a top quality bathroom installation professional who I feel very lucky to have found through MyBuilder.com I have waited three months before posting this review because I prefer to live with whatever work has been done in order to truly evaluate it. I required two existing showers to be ripped out and replaced with my own sourced new shower wall boards and enclosures. Ash did the job in six days over a two week period and did it extremely well. In fact he even used his expertise to improve on how the shower wall boards were fitted resulting in an unbeatable professional ‘showroom’ finish. I was very happy with the completed double installation when Ash left and, three months later, I am still very happy. I can’t praise Ash highly enough.

I will be as honest as I can be with this review because for the most part, we are really happy with our extension but niggling bits not sorted and outstanding with building control which is delaying sign off is disappointing. Communication great initially but waned severely towards end of job (when a new one had been started) and quality of work on final bits disappointing (botched drain pipe installation and guttering), final evidence not submitted to building control for final sign off (work was finished late last year). Still waiting for replies on that stuff. But overall the extension work is great and we’re really happy. Subbies mostly top notch too (wouldn’t use his electrician again but Mike from Anderson’s and Rhys the chippy were both sound) Shame really as I’d like to give Nathan 5 stars but lack of comms and after care towards end of build has left us feeling a bit let down. Happy to be proved wrong and update if sorted, however.

Danew Construction did a really great job in sorting out a flat roof and installing new decking, a balustrade and gate for us. The old decking had not been installed properly and had rotted away, so they installed a proper sub frame. They explained exactly what they were going to do and then did it, with great attention to detail. The result looks amazing, and we can highly recommend this thorough and professional company. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Highly recommend due to skill, work ethics and competitive pricing. Excellent workmanship, focus on detail and a much-needed splash of easygoing when I changed my mind or added tasks at various stages, nothing was too much trouble. Now that the concrete base has the huge shed erected and the paths are in place courtesy of Ricky and Alan, I have already requested a quotation for the block paving driveway. Says it all 😁
