If anyone is looking for a GREAT builder then I would recommend J (Jamie) Hughes Construction. Jamie & his small team are just nearing the end of building us a single storey, vaulted ceiling, dining room extension and it is FAB-U-LOUS. In fact the build finish has exceeded our expectations. I could say more but suffice to say, if you want a 1st class job done Jamie Hughes has got to be worth contacting. I'd happily be a referee for Jamie & his team and will equally happily do viewings for anyone who wants to come and see his quality workmanship.

Disappointingly all the door linings were fit incorrectly and as a result, no door handles and locks are flush. Didn’t come back to rectify mistakes around the house and stopped responding to messages.

Based on my experience I have no hesitation recommending BCB Building Services who came recommended to me prior to this work by word of mouth. I needed to carry out modest renovation and remediation works on a newly purchased period property requiring many trades; general builder, scaffolder, plumber, plasterer, roofer, landscaper and damp specialist, etc. Brad and BCB team promptly provided a quote and, essential for me, agreed to source and project manage the diverse trades required to complete the work. They are busy but worth the patience and short wait necessary to get the work done by them. The workforce were professional, tidy, courteous and organised minimising disruption during the works and leaving the house clean and undamaged in their wake. The works were delivered per schedule and to a high standard and whilst not the cheapest, the pricing is fair and I believe the outcome represents tremendous value. Brad and the team remained pro-active beyond works completion and engaged actively in addressing the small amount of trivial snagging. They are now my go to for building works.

They were totally brilliant from start to finish, including turning up before 7am on days when it was going to hit above 30° so they knew they would struggle working in the afternoon heat with no shade. Hello,I'm Tom Robinson of TR Carpenty.I started out doing a 3 year carpentry and joinery apprenticeship at Guilford collage alongside working in a joinery workshop in Fleet,Hamsphire. Ive now been in the trade 24 years. Once i'd qualified from collage i stuck around the joinery shop for another year and then made the move out to work for a property maintanence company mostly doing repairs and door replacments and any other carpentry that needed attention.After doing this for a couple of years i moved onto construction sites doing all aspects of carpentry from erecting partition walls and cutting roofs through to second fix including wardrobes,cabinet ,skirtings ,architraves , staircases and door hanging. After many years on site i decided to move into insurance work for a well establised insurance company , mainly doing kitchen but also included all aspects of carpentry. During this insurance work i had to travel a fair bit which is not to much of an issue for me. I consider myself to have a wide range of skills aquired from my experence across a number of construction enviroments,whilst i enjoy all aspects of carpentry i believe my best skills are working with sheet materials and natural wood when making cupboards,media walls etc

He was punctual, arriving exactly when he said he would, and completed the work to an exceptionally high standard. The craftsmanship and attention to detail really stood out, and everything was finished neatly and professionally. His pricing was very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the work. He also made sure to clean up thoroughly at the end of each day, which we really appreciated.
