Excellent job and very happy customers! Mark is a true craftsman, and the cupboards he's built look superb in our old cottage, fitting the space perfectly. The character touches he suggested add brilliantly to the way they look, and they have made lost space incredibly practical and undoubtedly added value to the house. Jeremy & William Castle of JJCastle turned up on time on the agreed day and did a very good job of replacing my skirting boards in the hall. The father & son team were courteous and worked in a professional manner with good attention to detail. They even went the extra mile by tackling a small job which was outside the scope of the job I had posted. I would not hesitate to recommend JJCastle.

We gave Gavin a bit of a different challenge. We needed part of our bungalow loft boarded out, but the access that we wanted, wasn't through the ceiling, as it would normally be, but through a side wall, around ten foot up from the floor in the kitchen. It's hard to explain, it's just a shame that we cannot put pictures on. Anyway, Gavin came round to see us and to see what was involved. He was very friendly and obviously knew what he was doing. All I can say is that Gavin was very prompt and just kept working away, only needing the occasional coffee. The floor he was laying had to be hired, because of pipes and electrics, and Gavin did it with ease. He made a super job of the door/hatch and completed the whole job within two days. We are super impressed with him and his work. We have only been in our bungalow for a few months, and will have plenty for Gavin to do, as we are more than happy for him to do the jobs we need. We are already talking about Gavin building us a garden/day room from scratch, in the corner of our garden. We highly recommend Gavin and have photos of his great work. What a delightful young man! Alex contacted me immediately after my enquiry on the Sunday, made an appointment for Monday morning to carry out a survey then completed the work on the Tuesday! He was very punctual, polite, professional, hard-working and tidied up as he was working. Alex made an excellent job of the doors which he had tailored to our reuirements and answered all of our queries. I would have no hesitation in recommending Alex for any carpentry/joinery work and will most definitely use his services again in the future. A first class service all round!

Throughout the process John has been brilliant. He has done exactly what he has said he would from arriving at the promised times thoughout, to building exactly what he described, to sticking to his quote. His communication is excellent. He has kept me informed at all times, is a neat, considerate and tidy worker who takes a real pride in what he does. He brought along a workmate, Jack, together they worked as a great team. They were polite, perfectionist, capable, neat and helpful. This included well thought out ways to dispose of no longer needed stone slabs. The results look terrific and the garden looks great. Highly recommended.

Oliver did a great job on our loft project. Great consultation about what we needed from the work which was followed up with a design in CAD. He is a trustworthy guy I am happy to leave at work in my house, he does a great job and prices things really reasonably. We will be using Lanes for future carpentry work on our house.

We really struck lucky, asking Adam Brown to look at the job. He arrived punctually and quoted a very reasonable price.
