Alex came to quote for various carpentry jobs, and we spent some time with him looking at what needed doing. He offered a start date which we also accepted, and the day before he was due to start the job he sent a text to confirm he was coming the next day. We got everything prepared for his visit, bought the materials and arranged to take time off our work schedules. On the day he simply didn't turn up. I sent several polite texts and left a phone message to try to find out whether he was running late, or something had come up he had to attend to urgently. He didn't reply to any of my messages, leaving us completely in the dark and waiting in limbo all day long wondering what had happened. To this day we still don't know why he never showed or why he didn't feel he even owed us an explanation. I have never been let down as badly as this before - if other contractors have for any reason been unable to show up they at least let you know they can't come! If anyone is capable of behaving in this way even once to a potential customer I don't think he shouldn't be able to advertise on your website as he appears to have no qualms about leaving people in the lurch without saying why, causing them distress and disappointment - he is therefore capable of behaving in the same way to other clients which means he is too unreliable to trust.

A really good job . Matt fitted a side gate an fence panel to the side of my house. His quote was very reasonable and he was able to do the job quickly. He has also done a little job inside the house and is coming back to do a few more small jobs. I have no hesitation in recommending Matt....a very polite young man with a good work ethic. I will be keeping him on speed dial for the future.

Did not arrive today. Sent him a text at 9am, asking where he was because he said he would be here at 8am. He said that he had sent me a text but sent it to the wrong number, which I found odd, since my number is available on your website. He said that the text he sent was asking if today was still OK for the job but I had already confirmed by text previously. I was extremely unhappy because I had wasted valuable time waiting for him. Would not recommend.

I employed Justin for 3 jobs and had an issue with this work on 2 of them and the materials supplied on another. I asked for a polycarbonate car port. I got corrugated plastic at polycarbonate prices. I asked for a worktop upstand to be fitted which ran under a window sill. I explained that not wanting the cut/join was why I wanted it done by a professional. I was assured that was fine and then received it with a cut/join with no explanation or apology. I asked for a window lining and architrave to be reinstalled. The lining was fixed so twisted that it looks awful, there is a large gap and it needs to be taken back off and redone properly. I messaged Justin about this but received no reply. I am very disappointed, feel ripped off and recommend you avoid employing this untrustworthy and unskilled person.

We hired Alex for the job and it started positively. Good questions, engaged on the work and he came to site to measure up etc. However as soon as I tried to pin him down for some dates (10 days go) for the installation things broke down. I got a "I can do it in 4 weeks" and when I tried to improve on that for precision the question was ignored or my messages were ignored. When I put an ultimatum to him today on "I need to know or the work is going elsewhere" I got a "dog ate my homework excuse". In this case "my wife has COVID and I have to self isolate". Current Government guidelines are you don't have to self-isolate if you are double vaccinated. And if you aren't able to double vaccinate for some reason, then really... why have you waited so long to get in touch with your customers, especially when one of them has been chasing your for 10 days? The combination of factors don't seem credible.
