Here is the short version: I asked for fitted wardrobe, with 3 drawers. On the final day, I found out that instead of drawers he had installed IKEA metal mesh baskets! He also got the colour wrong, got the distance between the baskets wrong, and scratched my brand new wooden floor. Also the painting of the wardrobe was sloppy, and the wardrobe doors get stuck against each other. Here is the long version: When I asked why he had installed baskets, he said the mesh baskets were more durable, and that he had costed the job based on them, not drawers, and that he had already spent £400 on material! In other words, either he decided to cut corners half-way through the job to make it worthwile for himself; Or maybe he meant to use baskets all along, but misled me by saying that he was giving me drawers. Even IKEA sells baskets as "baskets", not "drawers". To make it worse: - he got the distance between the baskets wrong! - he got the baskets in the wrong colour! - the doors get stuck against each other. - despite my warnings, he scratched the brand new wooden floor. - the painting job was untidy. So I asked him for a quote to replace baskets by actual drawers. Although I believe he should've done it for free, I agreed to his new quote but he never showed up at the appointment! The point of a customised job is to have it according to your specification. Not that the tradesman promises one thing and then decides on your behalf and violates his own quote.

I was employed for the next 22 years while raising a family of 3 amazing girls with my wife I’ve built up a large regular list of customers over the years which keeps growing so now I feel it’s time to work for myself full time, i take so much pride in what I do I love leaving a job knowing that everything is done to the highest standard, also have a list of other trades to help if needed that I trust to keep standards high. Dan simply was great - we'd got 12 solid core interior doors and their fixings - the whole house, replacing the original hollow core doors. Each door needed the works - hinge rebates cutting, door adjusting, lock etc. The result is excellent and Dan did the job calmly and efficiently - and kept the place tidy and clean despite having to cut every door in the house. A job well done and on schedule.

Gary was brilliant. Professional, friendly and provided quality work and cleaned up. Our oak work top was in a state when we moved into our house and I was unsure how well it would come out and we were preparing ourselves to have the worktop replaced. I’m so glad we asked Gary to give it a go sanding and re oiling because it looks brand new. We’re completely thrilled with the results. I’ve enclosed photos of before, after sanding and once oiled.
