They were hired to put in a Fire Door. My ad very clearly stated that they needed to be certified. And that the door needed to comply with regulations. To date, I don’t have their certification. Don’t hire them to do a Fire Door. They don’t know what they’re doing. Almost everything was wrong. The workmanship was terrible. I have received what I considered to be bullying because I refused to pay them until they made it right. The door But things got so bad that I’m going to get someone else to fix it. Because even them coming back to fix things, the things they were going to do were against Fire standards such as perko Door closers in the door. I’ve learned that those are not allowed. They’re not up to fire regulations. The door wouldn’t even shut because they put 1 tiny little perko in that couldn’t possibly shut door. Me,not knowing they’re not up to standard, suggested that they get another one which they agreed. But in fact, They are not even allowed on fire doors. Do not hire

Warren proved to be an extremely good choice for the work we needed. Not only is he personable but extremely good to work with. He came in to create two wardrobes, one on either side of a fireplace, in a 1909 property, and persuaded me that my original thinking was not in keeping with the balance of the room. He was absolutely correct and I'm so pleased that he brought his thoughts to me. He provided detailed drawings with his original quotation and the finished work is beautiful and I really couldn't be more pleased. Warren also built an entire book case across one wall of my study which continued above the door and down into a return. It looks great. He was also very helpful in choosing colours. Although Warren is a cabinet maker he helped us hugely by agreeing to fix a sash window and replace a side gate and posts. The work was done to a high standard, in good time and tidily. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending him and I'd most certainly contract him again. Of the quotes I received for the contract Warren was not the lowest but I felt most confident in his approach. He has stayed true to the agreed costs.

I had a couple of quotes from well-known specialist companies, but no one was able to offer doors to match the house. Then I found Joe from Seagull Carpentry through a local advertisement. Excellent work. Neil can turn his hand to most things, happy to make and discuss suggestions and to take on the odd change as the job progressed. Also good at making sure we got the materials to the specs that we wanted. Works hard and finishes. The end result after taking 2 rooms back to bare brick/stone and completely refitting while converting one room to an en-suite is just as we hoped. Very happy to recommend Neil.
