Hi I’m Dave and I'm a joiner and cabinet maker to trade. I love building as a whole and like turning my hand to many different things but particularly enjoy producing high end cabinetry and furniture and architectural joinery products such as windows doors and stairs. In addition to manufacturing such products I am proficient in their fitting as well. I have a keen eye for design and love obsessing over the finer details that make up a stunning project. I’m friendly and easy going and when I’m not working I enjoy researching a wide variety of different subjects including but not limited to engineering, art, geology, architecture, geometry, physics and much more. I also spend a lot of time learning about different trades and how they have evolved over the years. I’m very family oriented and look forward to starting a family of my own. I started a Fife College Construction Futures course in September 2020. Throughout the course I have gained experience in painting and decorating, joinery and brickwork. From this experience Joinery is what I was most enthusiastic in doing and gave me the urge to pursue a future in this. I started my apprenticeship in march 2021 making bespoke kitchens and furniture, I then went onto making bespoke windows and doors. I have now recently qualified and looking to start my own business. Over my 4 year apprenticeship I have learned how to hang doors/fit skirting and facings/fencing/ making bespoke kitchens and furniture and lastly making bespoke windows and doors, I plan to have my own business in the future so I thought it would be a good idea to start building up customers and a good reputation.
