Just me working on my own, looking for small to medium-sized jobs in and around Bristol. I have an NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying and 10 years’ experience in general building, covering all aspects of the trade, but mainly brickwork, patios and similar work. I’ve been working as a stonemason for 28 years. I served my apprenticeship in a traditional building firm specialising in the restoration of churches and listed buildings in the Somerset area. I’ve an extensive knowledge of local stones and lime mortars and their applications along with other conservation/restoration techniques. In addition to this I’m a time served banker mason and in addition spent three years studying architectural carving at the City and Guilds School of Art. I’ve worked on numerous prestigious projects over the years including the restoration of The Commons Inner Court in the Palace of Westminster (Houses of Parliament). I’m adept at consulting with clients, local authorities, listed buildings officials and conservation officers. I’m a general builder who takes on most projects ranging from garden walls & patios to complete extensions. I’m a bricklayer by trade with 35 plus years experience, but take on all different trades . I have full public liability insurance for any unforeseen mishaps , but haven’t had a claim yet!!!
