Tanvir from Devine Property Services took our whole project through from start to finish, and that's with our council being difficult. He is a good listener and took all our points into consideration in what we wanted to achieve. Unfortunately our local council were nitpicking on obvious points that anyone with common sense would have realised. Our application was refused TWICE due to this, but both times Tanvir offered great support, studied the feedback (which was strange to read in itself), revised and resubmitted what needed to be done. Tanvir went as far as to call the planning officers involved to clarify designs, and due to this action - the planning officers eventually caved in and approved the designs. This is not something that happens everyday so hats off to Tanvir. Get in touchSadly the application was rejected and left a bad record on the planning application system of the Sutton Council. This case is a clear demonstration of poor experience, knowledge and judgement on the side of this architect. My husband did insist initially during the first meeting that a full application is necessary. But this was not accepted by this architect. It ended up with the fact that my husband was right and the council does require a full application for this project. Our situation is that we wasted over £500 on that application without achieving anything and in the meantime got a bad record of failed application on the council’s planning application system. In fairness, the fees paid to the architect deserve a full refund in this situation. This is because the failure of the application is totally due to him. The project started at the end of January and completed the first week in June of 2024. The work to our home consisted of a large wrap around extension which included a knock through from the original house at the rear and side to create an open plan space which features a large kitchen/diner. games room, study, utility and small storage at the front with garage doors. Having worked with builders in the past I was very pleased with the workers and management team which was overseen by Zak. The quality of the work is exceptional but what pleased me the most was the consistency of the communication and how every week I was updated with progress and financial information. Shape House is a company that cares about their clients and the projects, this comes through with their passion for excellence. When I first contacted Shape House it was from a referral from my neighbour who had an excellent experience with them. I am happy to talk with any prospective client and give my feedback.
