Based on architect recommendation, we contracted Alain on a private basis to produce structural engineering designs for our home renovation. He undertook a site visit and then produced structural designs to support a large number of elements related to new support beams, lintels etc. These have been iterated with the architect and the process has been very smooth. He was very responsive and nice to interact with. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend as a structural engineer for the type of project we undertook (loft conversion, new pitched roof, new openings within walls and ground floor open plan conversion)

Throughout the project they were incredibly communicative, helpful, and understanding. The final result is beautiful — honestly beyond what I could have expected. I’m still in awe of it and find myself just sitting and admiring it, especially when the light hits it just right.
