Valter was very impressive on his initial visit with some exciting ideas for the house improvements and we had no hesitation in choosing Happy Building above the other two building firms who quoted. Having signed off on the budget and scope of work, Valter's team of builders arrived. We were hugely impressed with the skill, experience and work ethic of the team; the fact that they arrived early each morning smiling underlined the "Happy Building" epithet; Jarek, the site foreman, had an especially cheery demeanour. The work involved stripping the walls back to bricks, removing walls, reinforcing foundations, plastering, extending the bathroom and removing one bedroom to create a large ensuite bedroom. The latter certainly would not have been done without Valter's vision and patience in explaining how it would look. We were able to deviate from the original plans without any problem which was very important in achieving the final look which we had desired. Valter was very careful in sticking to time and budgets which I had never experienced before with builders. The kitchen, bathroom, two bedrooms, living room and hallways were finished to the highest possible specification within our budget. There were one or two small features which, with hindsight, we would have improved such as door handles and shower fittings, however this was down to us not specifying exactly what we wanted. These are very minor details and a tiny part of the overall picture.

I hired Mr Simon Javens of JavensDesign and found him to be very professional and able to turn around a difficult planning application accurately and quickly complete with fully CAD design specifications. He is willing to go the extra mile to liaise with third party agencies, be it the Council or previous structural surveyor(s) and architect(s). A very pleasant chap indeed. You will not regret hiring his services. I received excellent advice in every step of the journey - Simon is very knowledgeable and willing to help. I'm so happy with shelving that ozzy and his colleague made. Ozzy took the time to understand want I wanted (floating alcove shelving) provided a clear and comprehensive quote, and kept me updated on completion of the shelving in his workshop. On day of installation, the guys were lovely and friendly, they went the extra mile in dealing with floors and walls that aren't at all straight, and the finished result blew me away, it's transformed the space completely. Such a pleasure to deal with, would highly recommend and i would definitely use them again in the future.
