Have had to cancel and post the job back out as only a day was confirmed with no time and Im unable wait around all day for a response. I fully understand people have their normal day to day jobs, but clear communication is important to me, especially when im paying for a service. And if you're offering a service, then being responsive to customers and giving clear information on days/times is the bare minimum. It is unfortunate, as I found him to be a pleasant chap when he rocked up to look at the job- but what can you do 🤷‍♀️

I needed to fix a few things with the windows at my place. Erik was very helpful, and when the right product wasnt available here, he went and got it ordered from abroad and took delivery and got it fitted. Overall, I am happy to recommend him.

A great job delivered by Andy and all the team. We found all the guys really helpful and a pleasure to have around during the time taken to build our extension. The finish of the stone work by Ed is superb and admired by all who visit! Lee was great! 👍 He is professional and worked really hard to get the job done for us. He kept us up to date on progress and didn't grumble at all even though I changed the job 3 times. The wall looks 1st class now it's finished and I'm sure it's really strong and will stand the test of time :-) I would recommend Lee to anyone looking to get building work done and will definitely think of him first for the next job. I was given a day time to come round to fix window. The replacement pane glass had been ordered. I got a message to say he couldn’t make it and would get back in touch Monday. I’ve not heard back even after chasing the following week. Basically a no show

I asked for a price quote from TJ, but was not expecting it to be low enough (based on other quotes I had received); however he provided the lowest quote by far! Extremely professional, kept to agreed times and always kept me up to date on how things were going. I had windows and internal opening French doors - all UPVC; they are very high quality and even A rated energy efficient. The workman ship is fantastic - could not be happier. I will def. be using this company again for work next year.

Antony Acomb is a very nice guy and talks a good talk, but do not use him for anything other than building a small wall, we had an extension built by Antony Acomb (built! I use that term very losely) it should have taken 10 weeks but after 26 weeks and the work still not finished we had to remove him from our home, everything he had done has had to be redone, apart from the brickwork and that's not great, he didn't even channel out the drainage meaning we had to have a damp proof course and soak away done in a NEW extension, all the plastering has to be done again, the roof needs taking down and redoing, he stuffed plastic bags in gaps and covered with concrete, he didn't level the floor and he didn't even cap off the old drain he just covered it with tiles and then concrete, he didn't remove skirtings before laying the floor, the list is endless, I'm not exaggerating, John Fowler, manager of building control York said it was one of the worse builds he has seen in 30 years, his words were it's so dire, Antony is now trading under AA building and renovation Ltd, he took £15500 Of our hard earned money and then got a solicitor to demand another £3000, so far we have had to pay another £17000 to put it right, clearly this job was too big for him, this will be on going and we won't stop until we get our money back, but we need to warn everyone, tiny job, yes but bigger then stay well clear of Antony Acomb from Acomb maintenance and solutions or AA building and Renovations.

This contractor is dishonest and his workmanship is poor. He offered a price to install 3 radiators, to which I agreed, he installed two, including, the replacement of a piece of copper pipe which is less than 0.5 meters, he then issued a bill for an extra £100 above the agreed contract, when I asked why the increase, even though only two radiators were installed, he claimed it was for materials, I actually checked the price of the material in person at a local supplier the said morning and was told, I could purchase 3 meters for £10.58, yet this contractor charged me £100 for less than 0.5 meters. Its been over two weeks now since he installed the radiators, and one of them is leaking, I now have to find another trades man to correct his work. I would never recommend this person, he's dishonest and provides poor work.

I’m a general all round builder that usually does full property refurbishments, I do most work myself but also have a team of trusted people I use for work I can’t do, I’e full re-wires or plastering, I’m a fully qualified plumber, tiler, and roofer! I won’t attempt anything I’m not capable of but I’m more than happy to give advice or recommend the people I know that are fully qualified tradesmen Iv personally used myself for years. Any plumbing jobs minimum charge £60, taps, leaks etc. John
