I qualified in 2020 after completing a level 2 carpentry course at college, whilst working on a building site alongside very skilled tradesmen constructing 800+ houses from the first phase of 10 houses up until the very last. I refurbish wooden sash windows, including rot repair, using resin, and splicing with new timber. Putty replacement, cords replacement, full decoration and draught-proofing, new locks. Most of my work is for listed buildings and windows in conservation areas where replacing is not allowed. I am a small limited company with a trade name Sashworks. I cover all of Kent and some London areas. I have been doing this for more than 15 years. The windows will be like brand new after the work, regardless of their condition.
