  I hired J&J Property Solutions for property maintenance work in Newton Aycliffe. A 40% deposit was paid upfront. The works never started and I received no updates despite chasing daily. The job was passed to an unknown third party without my knowledge or consent, who contacted my tenant directly and proposed substituting agreed materials without authorisation. A full refund was offered in writing by both the director and the third party over four days ago. It has not been received. Formal written notice has been issued and further steps are being taken to recover the funds. As an experienced landlord with over eight years of property investment, I have used MyBuilder many times and have never encountered anything like this. I would not use this company again and would not recommend them to anyone.

  I am very disappointed with the standard of the painting and wallpapering work that has been carried out. There are several holes in the walls that have not been filled before painting, which has left the finish looking poor. In addition, the wallpaper has not been hung properly, as the pattern does not match up correctly and the seams are clearly visible in multiple areas. I have also noticed that the light fixture has been left loose, which is unacceptable and raises concerns about the quality of the workmanship overall. I expected the work to be completed to a professional standard, and unfortunately this has not been the case. I would appreciate it if you could arrange to inspect the issues and advise how and when they will be rectified. I look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible.
