Are you fully qualified and insured?

It’s best to choose a door fitter in London who has proper qualifications and insurance to handle the installation safely. Look for certifications like FENSA and confirm that the fitter carries public liability insurance to cover any potential damage to your property.

Do you need to conduct a survey before installation?

London door fitters may conduct a pre-installation survey to ensure the door fits properly. This involves taking measurements and assessing the condition of the door frame to avoid issues during the fitting process.

What is the estimated timeline for installation?

The London fitter should provide a clear timeline for how long the installation will take. A typical installation can take anywhere from a few hours to several days, depending on the complexity of the job and the number of doors being fitted.

Do you supply the doors and handles, or do I need to provide them?

Many London door fitters can source doors, hinges, and hardware for you, ensuring everything matches and meets building regulations. This saves hassle, but confirms upfront if they handle supply or just the fitting.
