Started off brilliantly. Worked full days, friendly, professional. But once work was nearly finished builders disappeared carpenters only came occasionally. Still waiting weeks later for carpentry work, electrical work and final building work to be completed. Very disappointed, would be loath to recommend this company to anyone. Still hoping they will return to finish.

He came to see me for a quote. He wanted me to pay £12.50 for the lead from Mybuilder that costs him. I refused and escorted him out without making it obvious. He waited in the van for 10 mins. Cheeky! Carried a violent persona.

Selby Kashaya is a cowboy builder. This job was a nightmare. He did his measurement then quoted me £600 for labour and estimated £300 for materials. We agreed his labour cost to £300 as he was only making some shelves around the house and under sink bathroom units. Went to B&Q to make the purchase of the wood and to my surprise, I was going to be paying for every single thing including screws. With his indecisiveness, we spent about 5hours at the store and it cost a total of £645.34. He cajoled me into paying for this items, I was so tired and frausted I just wanted to leave and get him to finish up the work. He asked me for fuel money so he can come back the next day to finish up the job which I obliged. The next day he came pretty early, so I left him to his job while I returned upstairs. To my surprise, when I returned to see what he was up to, he had cut away my skirting board and he had made some square shoe holes which didn't even fit a pair of shoe. I asked why he made it this way when I had asked for open shoe shelves and he cajoled me again by saying this was better. Then he left the uncompleted job and moved on to making 2 open shelves on the wall. He didn't use any plugs to hold up the shelves he just screwed in the brackets. The under sink cabinets were poorly made with inaccurate measurements. They looked like something from a dumb site. He left everything uncompleted and disappeared. I'm beginning to belief this is an organised crime.

Avoid at all cost. Very unreliable and untrustworthy. He didn't have the expertise to do the job and he didn't say it. We had other tradesmen that were interested but we selected him. However, the day he was supposed to start, he refused to show up and never responded to his messages till today. I have the evidence to support this. He has some kitchen images but I don't think he did any of those jobs. Beware of this.

Awful job - didn’t remove existing grout properly so new grout was patchy and could still see the old grout through the new - chipped my lovely floor tiles - then refused to come back and do the job ‘properly’ saying they were too busy - I asked them to refund the money so we could get someone else to do the job - still waiting!

6 months on I only managed to paint the walls due to other commitments. I have to honestly say that the skimming of the walls was poorly done. There are lots of dips and uneveness all over the walls. I am not happy. This person promised to ensure that the walls will be smooth and even in order not to necessiate any sanding prior to painting. I feel I have been ripped off considering the amount that I paid. Furthermore, he opened the door to my front room without my knowledge which resulted in a vast amount of dust on all of my possessions. Had I'd known he would need to open the door I would have used dust sheets to cover my belongings and furniture. He made sure that he had closed the door back again in the hope that I would not notice. It's the lack of consideration to protect other peoples possesions and property that gets me. Also the fact that he went into my front room is open to suspicion. I would not use this person again.
