Do tilers in Southfields remove old tiles and prepare surfaces before installing new ones?

Most professional tilers in Southfields include removal of old tiles and thorough surface preparation as part of their service. Always check this in advance to avoid unexpected costs and ensure the new tiles adhere properly to a clean, level surface.

Do tilers in Southfields offer advice on choosing the right tiles and grout for my project?

Yes, tilers in Southfields can recommend suitable tile types, colours, and grout options that match your design preferences and meet the practical needs of your space, such as moisture resistance or slip prevention.

Can a tiler in Southfields handle waterproofing and sealing, especially in bathrooms or wet areas?

Many Southfields tilers specialise in waterproofing and sealing techniques that comply with local building regulations, ensuring your wet areas stay protected against water damage and mould growth.

What is the typical timeline for a tiling project in Southfields?

Project duration depends on the scale and complexity of the job. A Southfields tiler should provide an estimated timeline that covers surface prep, installation, grouting, and curing, helping you plan your schedule effectively.

Ryan did a fantastic job restoring our Victorian tile path. He was very friendly and had great communication. It wasn't an easy job given the previous state and being unable to source correct thickness tiles but Ryan worked with what was available and the result was beyond our expectations. Thanks Ryan!

Amir came twice to view the job and stated he was a "jack of all trades" not just a tiler so we hired him to renovate two bathrooms. However, the experience was a complete disaster. He agreed to be present for the tile delivery, but wasn't there. We rescheduled for Monday, but 30 minutes before arrival, he claimed an emergency. After the tiles arrived, he stopped answering calls. Two hours later, he messaged saying he miscalculated costs and demanded more than double the agreed price, a quote he had set without negotiation from my part. By this point, he had already ripped out our toilet and shower, leaving the bathrooms unusable and the tiles sitting on the kerb. He never returned to work. To make matters worse, when he needed to collect his tools, he claimed he was outside when no one was there, rescheduled, missed that appointment, and finally turned up days later. Unreliable and unrecommended.

Tom and his team were friendly, polite and worked hard to get our job done on time. I booked them for our brand new charity office and Tom was brilliant at helping us choose colours and finishes that would suit our space. We will be supporting families for many years in those rooms and would call Tom back or recommend him if needed. I left them to get on with the job and they locked up and left things tidy too! Thanks Tom and Team
